Cimetropium Bromide
"For pharmaceutical use, Alchem offers Cimetropium Bromide with all its inherent benefits"

Scopolamine or hyoscine is a tropane alkaloid drug with muscarinic antagonist effects. It is among the secondary metabolites of plants from Solanaceae (nightshade) family of plants, such as henbane, jimson weed (Datura), angel's trumpets (Brugmansia), and corkwood (Duboisia). Cimetropium bromide is a semi-synthetic derivative of hyoscine that is derived from the purified extract of the Australian native Duboisia Bush. It is classified as an antimuscarinic compound with antispasmodic and anticholinergic properties.

Cimetropium bromide is a quaternary ammonium compound chemically related to hyoscine butylbromide. It has high affinity for muscarinic receptors and its antispasmodic activity is due to competition with acetylcholine for the muscarinic receptors of the gastrointestinal tract smooth muscle. Blockage of the muscarinic receptors in the GI tract is the basis for its use in the treatment of abdominal pain secondary to cramping.

Cimetropium Bromide is indicated for the treatment of pain associated with gastro-intestinal spasm, for long term treatment of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and as pre-endoscopic medication.

The product addresses broad spectrum physiological concerns and has the band width and capabilities to meet expectations. Regular use should exhibit demonstrable results to inhibit various health related issues.
