"For cosmetic use, Alchem offers Centella Asiatica Extract (with Selected Triterpenes) with all its inherent benefits"

Centella asiatica (also known as gotu kola, tiger grass and indian pennywort) is a perennial creeping plant indigenous to Africa, India, Sri Lanka and Australia characterized by its biologically active triterpenes (asiaticosides, Asiatic acid, madeccasoside and madecassic acid)  stimulating collagen synthesis in human skin fibroblasts, reducing fine lines and wrinkles. The triterpenes have shown to be effective against inflammation and edema and aid in would healing, scars, burns, psoriasis, scleroderma and eczema.

Centella Asiatica Extract (with Selected Triterpenes) demonstrates anti-wrinkle/anti-aging/wound healing activity. The active constituents include Pentacyclic triterpenoids, Asiatic acid, madecassic acid and asiaticoside which are responsible for increasing collagen synthesis and anti-inflammatory properties. The selected triterpenes stimulate collagen synthesis promoting collagen type I, the major components of the skin dermis, thus increasing tensile strength, improving epithelisation and promoting angiogenesis. Centella asiatica can improve the appearance of ageing skin affected by fine lines and wrinkles. It is a useful anti-aging ingredient due to its ability to replenish collagen supplies.

Centella Asiatica Extract (with Selected Triterpenes) finds application in various anti-ageing solutions, cellulite treatments, acne treatments, stretch mark and keloid scars or other scar creams. It is used in skin firming creams and lotions because it has a toning and tightening effect on skin.

The product addresses broad spectrum concerns on skin care and has the band width and capabilities to meet expectations. Regular use should exhibit demonstrable results.
