Yohimbine HCL
"For pharmaceutical use, Alchem offers Yohimbine HCL with all its inherent benefits"

Yohimbe is the name of an evergreen tree that is found in Zaire, Cameroon, and Gabon. The bark of yohimbe contains a chemical called yohimbine, which is used to make medicine. Yohimbine HCL is a mild monoamine oxidase inhibitor with sympatholytic and mydriatic effects. It is sold as prescription medicine in pure form for the treatment of sexual dysfunction.

Yohimbine HCL is a pre-synaptic alpha 2-adrenergic blocking agent. Yohimbine exerts its beneficial effect on erectile ability through blockade of central alpha 2-adrenergic receptors producing an increase in sympathetic drive secondary to an increase in norepinephrine release and in firing rate of cells in the brain noradrenergic nuclei. Yohimbine-mediated norepinephrine release at the level of the corporeal tissues may also be involved. In addition, beneficial effects may involve other neurotransmitters such as dopamine and serotonin and cholinergic receptors. Yohimbine's peripheral autonomic nervous system effect is to increase parasympathetic (cholinergic) and decrease sympathetic (adrenergic) activity. It is to be noted that in male sexual performance, erection is linked to cholinergic activity and to alpha-2 adrenergic blockade which may theoretically result in increased penile inflow, decreased penile outflow or both.

Yohimbine hydrochloride has been shown to be effective in the treatment of male impotence. Yohimbine has been shown to be effective in the treatment of orgasmic dysfunction in men and to treat hypoactive sexual desire disorder (reduced libido) in women. In addition, it has safely been used to treat sexual side-effects caused by medications for depression called selective-serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). Yohimbine increases salivation, so it could have a potential interest in the treatment of dry mouths, another common side-effect caused by SSRIs.

The product addresses broad spectrum physiological concerns and has the band width and capabilities to meet expectations. Regular use should exhibit demonstrable results to inhibit various health related issues.
